Description:

You want to get involved in international youth work?  

Then you are a perfect fit for ijgd and our workcamps!

This seminar will teach you everything you need to lead international groups and our international ijgd Workcamps!

The seminar consists of the following seminar contents:

1. legal/organisational aspects, during the workcamp you have the duty of supervision and management of organisational tasks.

2. leadership role, as you are the first contact person for participants as well as project partners and us, the ijgd.

3. self-organisation, to enable the entire workcamp group to actively participate with their wishes

4. internationality to promote intercultural learning and antirasiscm

5. Information about ijgd -get the Workcamp spirit!!!

6. ecological focus, permaculture at Gut alte Heide

and of course having fun together, making campfires, barbecuing and meeting new people.

The seminar is practical and varied. There will be many exercises and group work. You will experience a very special way and atmosphere of learning together and doing activities together.

If you are interested in an internship, we can offer you the "package" training seminar + workcamp leadership+ office internship if applicable.

The seminar house:

In the middle of the countryside, in the heart of the Bergisches Land, lies the seminar house Gut Alte Heide. Various seminars and workshops on different topics such as herbal walks, yoga, mindfulness, family time-out, dance and music take place here throughout the year. The surroundings are beautiful and the seminar house is surrounded by meadows and forests. You will stay in the self-catering house "Turmhaus": fully equipped kitchen and lounge, terrace, shared rooms, seminar room, large outdoor area. As in a workcamp, you will cater for yourselves as a seminar group and can show off your cooking skills!

Note: In 2019, an international work camp took place at Gut alte Heide. The theme of the workcamp was the creation of a permaculture garden.

Among other things, you will get a guided tour through the garden and you can also work in the garden. If you have experience or knowledge in this area, that is of course wonderful and you are welcome to contribute your knowledge and possibly give input at the seminar itself.

Prerequisite:

18 years, desire to expand your leadership skills, interest in ijgd workcamps and workcamp leadership in the summer.

Participation costs: 70 € (reduced fee: 50€ for students, pupils, unemployed). The participation fee includes training, accommodation and meals. You will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the seminar. If you lead a workcamp in the summer, you will get your participation fee back.

Travel costs will be reimbursed at 50%. Taking advantage of all possible benefits and limited by a maximum amount.

Remarks:

The seminar language English (you have the chance to be prepared even more authentically for a workcamp ;-) ). 2 weeks before the start of the seminar you will recieve detailed information about your arrival.
